Eugene,
In general, how should I have approached asking a question about any particular strategy's implementation?
I've tried to navigate to the forum you've indicated, and, absent your embedded link, I'm stumped as to how I would have found it.
If a forum is far from the beaten path, does it risk being ignored and less useful to the community than it
might otherwise be?
again, 'scuse the misapplication of forum protocol

In just 2 clicks:
Home | My Startpage | Products | Extensions |
Strategies and Trading | Community | Support
1) Click
Strategies and Trading - it will open the list of all Published Strategies
2) Under the "Discussions" column, you'll see the number of discussion topics for a strategy -- click that link (the one I gave you above). Some are already "populated".

No need to be sorry, it's all right.

These specific forums are just designed to support and discuss a particular strategy. It's pretty natural to discuss a strategy there, where you and I are able to view its description, its source code, its other discussions, and be sure you're talking about
that exact strategy or not some variation.

Eugene,
Wealthlab.net is a work in progress, I realize, and it changes each visit I make.
When I visit the wealth-lab.net main forum, I focus on the topics being displayed there, and view or participate and learn, from them.
The uploaded strategies surely, located on a page entitled Unbenannte Seite is a bit of a stretch!
It, perhaps, is worthy of inclusion in the categories list on the Main Page, so's it could be monitored for replies/new posts.
Just my unworthy (and unsolicited) opinion

It's a good idea. We'll have our webmaster determine the best way to implement it. Perhaps what we need is a "Most Recent" under the Strategies heading. It seems the most logical to me so that everyone gets used to going to the Strategies pages to discuss public strategies. Other ideas are welcomed.

Cone,
Thanks for your response.
I had created a response and ( I thought ) had relocated it, appropriately, to Trading Strategies from General, in a thread to which you previously contributed,
under the heading WL5 window sizing in Workspaces or somesuch. It was thoughtful, well documented, concise, one of my better.
Regretfully, I mentally mischaracterized 'Best and Worst Performing Sectors' as having fallen within the parameters of the forum Trading Strategies, and long story short, its
exquisite verbiage has been lost.
The thrust of it was to enquire as to whether the Industry Data Update could be incorporated into the strategy itself, obviating the cumbersome Dataset Creation initial step,
by the creative use of Wealthscript.
just to explain the current thread

The only way you could do that in a strategy is if Industry Data Update were available as a public method. I haven't looked, but I highly doubt it is.

rhino, DataSets can be updated programmatically (using some - currently - undocumented API calls). They can also be created in Strategy code, but you won't see it in the Data tree until you restart WL5.
