can you point me to where in documentation i could learn how to create my own binary data provider -- i want to build something akin to your ascii data adapter with my own custom fields, but have it stored as binary for speed reasons.

I wish we could. I'd recommend that Fidelity customers who want API documentation for static, streaming, and/or fundamental data adapters call their Fidelity reps, and explain to them the "use case" for customers requiring data adapter documentation. I just don't know what else to do. This is frustrating for us too.

Chances are, we'll open the source code of a [new] streaming provider of our choice so that WLP/WLD customers could use it as example to build their own streaming providers.

That would certainly help, instead of using reflector and other tools to figure out what's going on or reverse engineering. At least, there is a positive side to Fidelity playing hide and seek with API release. If trading does not work out...i can get job as a .net C# developer. :)
