Some free YCharts fundamentals aren't showing for certain stocks

Although some stocks show all their "free" YCharts fundamentals, some (TSM, MGA, HEAR, MAA, MCD, MDC, MFC, PCH, THG, UHT, XOM) do not. Other fundamentals (like from Zacks) work just fine for all stocks. The YCharts download log looks fine for all the stocks, but I think there's some kind of data problem preventing some of them from show up on the Chart. This is for the "free" YChart provider. Everything appears to work fine for WL7; only WL6 is affected.

YCharts was known for withdrawing the "free" items and making them for subscribers only. But since you're saying it's a WL6 only issue then this is something else. Don't put much faith into that updated items counter as it's more like, well, just a counter and won't identify a data issue. Try to delete the YChartsSecurityFundamentalProvider, restart WL6 and update another day.

So you're saying you're not having this problem on your end? That is, it's unique to my system.

I wish the "counter" would confirm the 87 items collected were meaningful in the first place.

Just tried that. It didn't help. Can you get those listed stocks to work on your system? (They use to work.)

Why would it work on WL7 and not WL6?

Sorry, I didn't investigate it since all development for WL6 has ended.

I'm at a loss here since the code that gets the "free" fundamental items has changed minimally when porting it to WL7.

P.S. As for the "paid" YCharts API, the WL7 version has finally been rewritten from the ground up against the official API from Nuget. But this doesn't have any impact here.

Does that mean WL6 is no longer supported? Certainly, if you're collecting subscription revenue for WL6 (which you are), you would still have maintenance releases to keep it operational. Otherwise, what the point of the subscription fee?

Just to make sure we're on the same page, WLD6 is still fully operational thanks to the subscription fee. However, the data plugin is not included in the subscription (it's a free extension) and comes without any warranty.

If you're looking for a supported source of fundamental data, that's the paid Fundamental extension for Wealth-Lab 7 + paid subscription to YCharts which is built around the official API.

That's really unfortunate to hear. I thought I had a fully functional license for WL6 through January 2022 with Fidelity. Now you're saying it's only partially functional.

Although most of my current development is with WL7, I'm not doing any production work with WL7 right now. And to use the new features of WL7 (like PreExecute), the WL6 strategies don't directly convert. Moreover, some strategies I may not convert at all because WL7 offers a different way.

And there's some things WL6 has that WL7 lacks at present.

I'm not saying anything new. Let me quote the Wiki FAQ:

Wealth-Lab Extensions are (...) premium content available to our registered customers, for free. They are not a part of Wealth-Lab Developer/Pro (excluding those already shipped with the installation and available without downloading), they're free, and are not subject to "try before you buy". No downloadable extension is an inherent part of the application without which it would cease to function.

Cannot reproduce.

For a DataSet comprised of your stocks, the "free" YCharts items all work just fine for me in WL6.
