I am too busy at the moment to make the switch.

We do not have plans to sunset WL6 for its existing customers at the moment so you can be sure to continue using while it lasts. There will be no new sales and no free trials of WL6.

Please note that support for WL6 is only provided for keying/order issues. We have to live with WL6 bugs because our company does not have access to the old code base and all development is focused on WL7. I would not expect that potential breaking changes to the WL6 data providers (including Yahoo) would ever be fixed in the future.

I just started WL7 trial and I have been working on the migration from WL6.
But it seems taking much longer time than expected.

One reason is spending less time on trading systems as the pandemic easing.
Another reason is the difference between WL6 and WL7.

Hopefully WL6 continues working for the time being.

I have started using WL7 and the biggest difference is it uses C# instead of C. Also you can only buy or sell on at Limit or Market Open.

For these reasons I prefer WL6 over WL7.

Is there any way to use C vs C# or to be able to use the Close to buy/sell in WL7 in the future?

Both WL6 and WL7 have always used C#.
BuyAtClose is supported too in WL7.
You can find more in the FAQ and ask us in Discussions.

Also, WL7 has several broker adapters for automated trading: IB, TDA, Alpaca, and Kraken for crytpos. WL7 also supports special order types like OCO, MOO, and MOC. You can size Position using your real account equity for live trading. And, you can even set same-bar stops that are calculated on the live trade's actual entry price (not the basis price). WL7's UserStrategyBase model is far more flexible and powerful than WL6's WealthScript model.

Looks like there is an option to extend the subscription/maintenance for WL6? Please confirm.

WL7 subscribers get their WL6 maintenance period extended for a year automatically (if they have been WL6 customers).

Today when I authenticated WL6 it showed a link to "renew maintenance" since mine is expiring next month. What is this option?

You can still renew WL6 by following this link. If you do this and decide to subscribe to WL7 later, the WL6 maintenance fee will not be waived.

Just so I'm clear, when I purchase WL7 (in the next two weeks), I will be able to use WL6 (as is) without additional charge for another year?
Thanks.

Yes, since you're a WL6 customer.
