Recovering the missing left sidebar

How do I recover the missing left sidebar with all the DataSets? Restarting WL6 doesn't help. Restoring the default Workspace doesn't help either.

Never mind. I figured it out. One needs to go to View menu and select Data Panel to get the left sidebar to reappear. I'm not sure why it disappeared in the first place.
