Eugene,
The description for "TASC 2008-07 | Leader of the MACD Divergence (Siligardos)" refers to a February Traders' Tip "Trading Divergences". I was wondering if you ever coded it, as I am unable to find the latter strategy. Is it under another name by any chance?

Sammy,

Cone did the February tip and I did the 2008-07 one.

Thanks for the pointer, Eugene. I created the strategy manually; for some reason, it doesn't download.

If the 'Published since' checkbox is enabled and the date there is quite recent, this will prevent older strategies from loading. And this particular strategy (2008-07) was uploaded almost 2 years ago.

No, the 'Published Since' box is not checked. The only box checked is 'Download Public Strategies'.

OK, what's the status of downloading this particular strategy in the list? What does WL tell e.g. it already exists?

Its not shown in the download list.

The 2008-07 strategy has just downloaded for me fine. Verified by zipping the Strategies folder, restarting WL6 and downloading all available items (144 to be precise).

Just to be on the safe side, 2008-02 is not available for download because it's not uploaded to the repository; it exists only in the Wiki.

I have the 2008-07 strategy also. And I have the same number as you - 144. Clearly, its b/c the 2008-02 is in a repository that its N/A.

Request: Can you release all the repository scripts for easy download via WL Pro (so we don't have to create them manually)?

If you noticed, I'm already the biggest contributor of strategy code, recognizing the user demand.

However, I'm bound on this one. Cone is the author and he decides should the strategy be uploaded or not.

Eugene and I have a difference of opinion on this one. Personally I don't find many of the SAC strategies appealing or even profitable, and, the ones that are might be designed for a specific instrument that very few customers trade, e.g. the Australian dollar. (And, the Aussie strategy requires data that almost no one has access to!)

So there you have it. If you can't find a SAC Strategy in your Downloads, then it will be at the Wiki for the customers motivated enough to copy it. For other customers, they are just a distraction.

Good point. And for Sammy, the best part of it i.e. the advanced divergence detector already exists in C. Components to be easily reusable in Strategies:

Didn't know there was a divergence detector available.

Thanks for all the help.

[PS: You may wish to revise cp2 and ds2 descriptions, Eugene.]

Thanks Sammy, either Robert or I have to fix these.

I think Eugene will have to do it because I don't know what cp2 and ds2 are :\

Done.
But someone's memory must be going - I'm not the author :P

Memory is definitely shot. Give me a hint?
