Recently (in the last few years) we have heard about industry using Artificial Intelligence for improving manufacturing processes and even driving automobiles. So is anyone using AI for trading stocks?

I've been using neural networks as a major component of my strategies since the 90's, including the NeuroLab component provided with WealthLab. It's essential, to me.
If interested, search the forum for "neurolab" to learn more.

LenMoz,
Do you have any examples of what can done. I have a couple books on AI coming and so at this time trying to learn about possibilities.

There are sample networks provided with the NeuroLab tool
Generally speaking, any indicator can be thrown into the network. The power of an Artificial Neural Network is that training will determine what is important and what is not. When I first saw it, it was magic. Training will show you how good your network is by reducing the error. If the input is not predictive of the output, no improvement will be seen. Another risk is overfitting. If you train for too long, the network can be very predictive, but only for that data.
