I'm using 60 minute bars and notice that there is a delay before a new bar is displayed. What delay should I expect in seeing a new bar displayed after completing the 60 minutes.

In a streaming chart, there should be practically no delay. Can you be more specific? Data provider? market?

I'm using Fidelity data with ETFs, SOXL,SOXS, FNGU. Sometimes it seems to take 15 minutes to display the latest bar. Is there anything that may not be set correctly.

I just noticed under Data Manager/Fidelity Data I see this "The following symbols have experienced data update errors and will not be updated during your Fidelity data updates."
Then listed : %A-D_3X_TRADING ETFS
Is this what the problem is?

Re: post #4. Could be. This is Index-Lab's symbol ("Advancing - Declining" IndexDefinition) coming from an Index-Lab DataSet. You might want to review the last update log or, if it's not representative, update the Index-Lab DataSet with "3X_TRADING ETFS" manually to reproduce the error. Is this Fidelity data too?

%A-D_3X_TRADING ETFS is this a stock symbol by itself or what I'm not familiar with it. I trade SOXL, TQQQ, etc. which are 3X ETFs. I thought maybe there was a connection.

You'll know it when you re-read what I wrote in post #5.

I checked several symbols this AM and it takes 15 minutes to update my 60 minute bars.

I checked with Fidelity phone support and 15 minute delay is correct for 60 minute bars.

Thanks for the update. Could you provide more insight into why the delay is expected? Why does it apply to your account?

Eugene,
I didn't expect a delay to update the latest bar. Maybe a minute would be OK. Now if I was looking at a symbol that I hadn't looked at before, then new data would be needed and a delay of of a few seconds or so. I don't think it applies to my account, I think this 15 minute delay applies to everyone for 60 minute bars. Maybe you can correct me.

With on demand data update activated, yes. A delay is expected to backfill the data. It should be especially noticed when looking at an intraday chart.

As Robert suggests, there positively is no artificial 15-minute update delay for 60-min bars or whatever. This is a known issue with refreshing the login cookie after being logged in more than 1 hour.

Thank you for the new information. I logged in again. Now instant new update after 60 minutes.

Good news to hear. Along with other fixes, this is already part of 6.9.23 but the build is getting delayed because of the need to resolve another issue, as I heard.
