Ok, I am very new to this...love the back-testing. However, I developed and back-tested my strategy for the last two months. I tried to start trading live/auto. However, I am seeing the alerts but they are not automatically sending the orders. I am not sure how to resolve this issue.

Thanks,

Jeff

Let's agree on definitions first:

1. What you think is an Alert and what it is may be different things. Alerts are triggered for bar+1. Check out the FAQ:

FAQ | Strategies and WealthScript > Alerts are not triggered

2. Talking about "automatically sending the orders", a) what tool do you have in mind (streaming Strategy window, Strategy Monitor) and how is it configured and b) where should the orders be routed automatically (Paper Trading provider or Fidelity auto-trading which requires entitlement)?

Strategy Monitor, the orders should be routed through fidelity auto-trading...not sure what you mean by entitlement. I meet all the requirements...is it something on fidelity's end?

1. Did you activate Auto-Trading in the Orders window?

2. Please contact Fidelity to ensure your account is granted auto-trading entitlement.

There are two options "auto-trading" off and "auto-trading" paper account. I left it on paper account but closed the window. Does it need to remain open? Is paper account turning auto-trading on?

Paper accounts work in their own space, not turning live auto-trading on. Consequently, choose a live account from the Accounts dropdown. The SM would reopen the Orders window if Auto-Place is activated but with AutoTrading disabled by default. You'd want to keep the Orders window open.

Ok, I have done that. I can stage the orders but I am wanting the orders to auto-trade. I have my account set and default account all set-up. However, I am not showing anywhere to auto-place orders. In the drop down box, it is still showing auto-trade as off or paper account. Do I have the correct software? I did call Fidelity and they assured me that I have entitlement. I have read all the instructions but I can not find the auto-place anywhere with Wealth-Lab Pro 6.9 64-bit. Is there an extension I have to download? I have been working on this for week and can't figure out whats wrong.

Like I said, there should be a "Live accounts" choice in Auto-Trading if Fidelity decides that your account qualifies for auto-trading. If it's missing, either you don't have the entitlement or it's not applied correctly on their end. It's all in the hands of Fidelity.

I am showing all my accounts with Fidelity are listed under "live accounts".

You should choose "Live Accounts" in the dropdown then. If you're unable to, please contact Fidelity re: your account.

I have several times. They tell me to contact you. You tell me to contact Fidelity. However, I did use the paper account to test it and "auto-place" shows up for the paper account. Some how, I have to get it to activate on my brokerage account. Somewhere on someone's end, someone has to activate it. It does seem more on Fidelity's side now...maybe they gave me entitlement but need to check another box. I'll let you know. I can't be the only one who has ran into this problem.

We (MS123 LLC) are a third party company that runs the wealth-lab.com website. MS123 is licensed by Fidelity to support and resell Wealth-Lab products to international customers. We are not Fidelity and cannot even know for sure if you're a Fidelity customer or not. If someone has to activate something, positively it's not the MS123 team. ;)

It actually had nothing to do with who activated anything. Fidelity was correct, they did give me entitlement to Wealth-Lab. In my previous question to you about auto-trading in the orders window. It should be placed on paper account to turn auto trading on and the account drop down should be on the live account you prefer to trade on. The one thing you need to do is click on the update to get things running and you have to leave the orders window open otherwise it reverts to auto trading to off. I think this is something both sides should know. I hope this helps future customers.

This doesn't seem like normal behavior. The Update button forces a refresh for all orders if connection has been lost with the backend. Normally it's not required. Neither placing orders in paper accounts makes any sense to me. The PaperTrading provider is a thing in itself, operating differently than the Fidelity trading backend.

Is a Live or a Paper account assigned to your Strategy in the Strategy Monitor?
