So I downloaded the BBFree add in and was able to get a bunch of historical data which was very useful. The data generally only goes back 5 years.
Is it possible, if I have the data going further back on excel, to add it to the data file so that from now on I can use the add in and data manager to keep the data up to date?
Thanks.
Also. Is there an addin to get data for the fed.gov site?
Thank you.

The BB Free data goes back 6 years. I think it's possible to glue some data together. Your job is to write a script that:
1. concatenates two Bars objects, the ASCII (I guess "Excel" actually means a CSV file) and the BBFree,
2. saves the resulting Bars object into a .WL file (see QuickRef > Bars object > SaveToFile & LoadFromFile)
3. copies the file under the appropriate subfolder of the B........Free root folder (in alphabetical order):
..AppData\Roaming\Fidelity Investments\WealthLabPro\1.0.0.0\Data\B........Provider\Daily\..
P.S. What is the fed.gov site?

Just wondering, what kind of symbols are you trying to glue the data for together? Maybe there's an already available but overlooked alternative.
Re: Fed site. No provider, and no plans to create one currently due to low interest. What has value on their download section?

1) Interest rates
2) Monetary measures M1 M2 etc.
From the available fundamental data providers, the YCharts package (paid datafeed) seems to have these rates:
Available economic items > Interest Rates
