I'm also using it for MSFT flight sim, but mostly for research with WLP. Any thing I should be aware of before I purchase a fast gaming PC ( or any PC// hardware or software)?

Yes. I better get a fast computer so my trading strategies can pay for the increase in power. ;)

Do you know if the i7 3.37 Ghz chip will show significant improvement in performance over the 2.66 i7? The price is nearly $1000.00 more, so I'm debating the differences.

I'm pretty happy with a E5420, but this benchmark chart would indicate that there's a noticeable difference in the i7s.

After all $1000 is only about €690 these days!
