Can 32-bit vs 64-bit versions of Wealth-Lab coexist? What's the difference?

I've recently replaced the 32 bit version of WL tith the 64 bit version.
I noticed, that the program data is located in the same location, though
the program files are of course in a different folder.

Now I have a couple of questions regarding the differences in these versions:

1. Are there features in the 32-bit library files, that the 64-bit version does not have?
If so, can I access these 32-bit libraries from the 64-bit version?
Are there any things I should NOT attempt?

2. Can the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version of Wealth-Lab coexist on the same system?
If so, can they use the same data files?
I would assume that they might clash if run at the same time. Is that right?

Thanks,

Both questions are answered in this Wealth-Lab Wiki FAQ.

1 - "Is Wealth-Lab Developer/Pro 6 able to use 4(6,8...) Gb of RAM when running on a 64-bit OS?"

2nd paragraph.

2 - "Is it possible to install 32-bit and 64-bit versions of WLD6 side by side?"

Only possible to run at the same time under different Windows user names.

Aside from the FAQ not popping up when searching for "simultaneously", "coexist", or "64 AND 32",
how is my question 1 answered?

This issue points out how difficult existing topics are to find, when searchng your website.
I spent about 20 minutes searching for various comnbinations of 32 bit and 64 bit, but unless one knows exactly what the wording in an existing thread was, say a year ago, how can ne hope to find a match? Even now, that I know the question included "side by side", searching for "side-by-side" instead FAILS. Punctuation caused the search to fail.

The 2nd paragraph takes care of the most important, practical part of your question: which libraries are not there:

"Note that certain providers which use COM (e.g. MetaStock and TeleCharts data providers) can only work in 32-bit environment. To work around this limitation, install 32-bit edition of Wealth-Lab side by side to work with Metastock/TC2007 data."

Surprisingly, the other 2 sentences are connected: you should NOT attempt to access these 32-bit libraries from the 64-bit version, or it may crash WL6 on startup.

The Wiki FAQ, although I broke it into 5 sections, is not that big to search it. The FAQ index page is designed to give a hint where to look for a question: General, WealthScript, Missing (legacy users' questions), Data and Misc/Extensions.
