Okay... coming back to conditional orders again.

Here's the thing, conditional orders are key to most advanced trading strategies. Fidelity's Active Trader Pro has it and WealthLab is supposed to be more advanced than that platform, but, yet conditional orders like "One Triggers Another" or "One Cancels Another" don't' exist.

I can code around this issue for back testing but doesn't solve the problem with implementing "live" conditional trading strategy.

Active Trader Pro along with many... many other trading platforms, I can "BUY" a stock and conditionally trigger a limit, stoploss, etc... "SELL" order immediately following the BUY transaction (without having to babysit the transaction).

Seriously, is there something that I'm missing? Is this just my issue or is it a limitation of Fidelity's PREMIER trading platform, or is WealthLab not intended for implementing back-tested strategies (If so, why go through the effort of integrating it with Fidelity's account data)?

Allow me to clarify that Fidelity's premier trading platform is Active Trader Pro. Wealth-Lab is primarily a backtesting platform with the ability to automate trading strategies, but, WLP will never be everything to all people. That's an unattainable goal.

Well, you can realize that type of conditional in WLP too. Launch Preferences (F12) and then hit F1 for the User Guide. See Preferences > Trading > Trading Options > Allow Same Bar Exits for Auto-Trading.

Thanks Cone... I think I made a conceptual leap regarding WL5.

WL5 is very powerful (if I understand what you are getting at). Is there a good place that really breaks down the autoprofit and autorisk features? I "sort of" understand from the help info info but not finding that it explains exactly what's going on. Better yet a tie in from this into "Live" and "Real-time" implimentation of strategies.

I'm learning that the more educated I am, the less I know. :)

Much Thanks!

It's not "auto", but it's explained in the reference I gave you. You have to set the RiskStopLevel and/or AutoProfitLevel in your code. See the "Checklist for enabling stop and limit exits on the entry bar" in the reference.
