I have created my own trading methodology (for US equity ETF's). I would like to make sure that the methodology is kept confidential. Do the trading methodology, as well as the specific data that I enter (in Excel format) remain confidential? Does the information get encrypted? I am new to WealthLab so I am not sure about this yet. Thanks

Wealth-Lab does not transmit your Strategy code anywhere. Period. It's safe in this aspect. However, it remains on your computer in plain text form, unencrypted. If this is a concern, Strategies could be:
1) Relocated to a mapped network drive e.g. a pen drive plugged into your network router (for example) and taken out with you. Any WL user can do it.
2) Converted into binary form i.e.
DLL. This requires some Visual Studio / SharpDevelop knowledge and minimal development skills. Additionally, the resulting code can be
obfuscated to safeguard against the prying eyes.
On a related note, the data in Excel format is confidential by its nature. Wealth-Lab won't upload it anywhere. It could be read by our
Excel provider (which is not available during free trial like any
extensions - see
FAQ) or be imported in Strategy code (FAQ:
Is there a way to read/write values to an open Excel sheet?).
