Hi,

please could anyone tell me a data source for German Stocks on daily basis? Only the components of DAX and TecDAX are required.

The data of the previous day should be downloadable the next day before the German Markets open.

Unfortunately the data for German Markets downloadable via MLDownloader from Yahoo site obviously is not reliable.

What does Availability to Pro and Developer mean?

No possibility to download if working with a test version?

1 - Indicates that an extension can be installed in WL Pro (none), Developer (Russian data providers) or Pro+Developer (most all).

2 - No, as per this FAQ: I can't download an Extension: the site says Wealth-Lab extensions are available only to Wealth-Lab Version 6 customers. During evaluation you can download quality EOD data for German stocks using Yahoo! provider.

I created a data set for DAX 30 and updated the data with the data manager. Unfortunately most symbols returned an error like "[7] BMW Error: Der Remoteserver hat einen Fehler zurückgegeben: (404) Nicht gefunden."

I used the suffix .f for Frankfurt stock exchange. Where is my mistake?

Copy and paste this set of symbols for the DataSet that you created, and click "Apply Symbol Changes... " at the bottom of the symbols box. Then click "Update DataSet Pricing".

Also, when working with Yahoo! EOD, I recommend disabling "Update Data on Demand" (File menu or at bottom right of Data Mgr > Update Data tab).

Effective 4 April 2017, share class of Deutsche Börse AG (DB1.DE) has been replaced as an unscheduled change to the DAX index. The predecessor's ISIN was DE000A2AA253 while the current one is DE0005810055.

NOTE: existing data of DB1.DE in W-D has been replaced with the new share class (ISIN DE0005810055).

10/27/2017 LIN.DE has had a share class change (ISIN DE0006483001 => ISIN DE000A2E4L75). This was an unscheduled change to DAX as a result of the Linde AG and Praxair merger.

Alexandre, it's not easy for me to find the trace of ISINs in this case as these particular stocks were involved in M&A activity quite long ago in the 1990s.

Is it part of an index ? If yes, maybe I can find something.

Yes, they were members of the German MDAX index in the 1990s - early 2000s. Thanks.

Sorry Eugene, but I don't find it. In the following file, you will see all modifications of the index from 1993.
Maybe, company names were differents.

Do you know if the data for delisted symbols in general (marked as "expired" in your PDF I guess) could be downloaded from the platform you're using?

I'm happy to see that I was able to help you. Yes, I can download from my station the historical quotes. Unfortunately, not all expired symbols are available for quotes download.

I know exactly what you want to do with but take care that in Europe, we change our currency to Euro in 01/01/1999. So, historical quotes must be adjusted to take into account that.

As on 10/29/2018 LIN.DE merges with Praxair, we'll reflect the change in W-D. As the share class will be replaced, the LIN.DE stock will contain the new data of "Linde plc" effective 10/29/2018. Prior to this date, the historical data is of "Linde AG".

UPDATE 10/29/2018: Since all the historical data for LIN.DE before today essentially belongs to a different share, in W-D it will be split with 1.54 coefficient to avoid the big opening gap (~€223 to ~€145).

Effective 27 Dec 2018, EVD.DE (CTS Eventim) will leave MDAX for SDAX and be replaced with AFX.DE (Carl Zeiss Meditec).

You might have noticed that the daily volume for XETRA traded stocks is missing lately but so it's been even on Deutsche Borse's own website.

UPDATE: Not any more, they fixed it.

Today I could not download the latest data from March 12 for the german symbols.

It's Wealth-Data. You've signed up for it and it's free for you as a Wealth-Lab Developer customer.

Taipan is unsupported on our website (3rd party), Quotemedia has a different symbol notation. Yahoo! can be used to get the German data too since it supports the same symbol notation but Wealth-Data is far more accurate and offers more historical data.
