Eugene, Rich meant that we did not want to trade a stock if there was news on the same stock that day ( the trade day.) Is your code right for that command? thanks.

On a serious note, you guys probably underestimate the complexity behind that "command". There has never been such a command, because Fidelity Wealth-Lab Pro doesn't keep a historical news database, or even a facility to provide "news" to a Strategy.
There's no turn key solution, so if someone wants the "command", first he has to find a source of news. The task is made simple if he doesn't need to backtest the concept i.e. just news for the day. Next he has to prepare for the usual development: figure out whether the news feed provides an API or not, determine how to query or parse (depends), how to handle the output, which 3rd party helper library to utilize etc. That's it.
...My mockup code doesn't do anything, of course.
