How can I enable Auto-Trading by default on WLP Startup?
Saving workspace doesn't remember the Auto-Trading setting.

It's designed that way. You must press the button.

Can we at least have it remember to turn on auto trading for just "Paper Accounts"?
This is a real pain in the neck workflow-wise, since I have to relaunch WLP5 every day, and it is -extremely- easy to forget to open the Orders window, then toggle the dropbox.

I'd rather let the strategies run, and concentrate on strategy development and performance evaluation instead of nagging, periodic workflow toggles.

Sorry Mike. I don't want to give you any false hopes. This is not going to happen unless a multitude of people call their Fidelity reps and say, "I want Auto-Trading to stay selected forever until I deselect it, and, I will agree to accept any trades, paper or live, that I didn't really intend to make because I forgot that I left Auto-Trading running."

Couldn't you automate this using a macro tool? Auto-It is free but there are also more robust commercial solutions out there. Not that this is necessarily a good idea.

The app can do even more complex task. You can at least try to see if it works for you.

I tried Auto-It but I cannot figure out how to make it work for the dropdown list (aka ComboBox). Any idea?

Probably you can find an answer to this question on AutoIt support forum e.g.:

Selecting an Item from a ComboBox, Selecting an Item from a ComboBo

Thank you for the link. Looks like there are some ways in Auto-It to make it work for ComboBox.
