I recently downloaded Wealth Lab Pro and am interested in using it to develop automatic trading.
I am working on a virtual machine on my mac running Windows 10 (using Parallel's software, if that is important).
Downloaded from https://www.fidelity.com/trading/advanced-trading-tools/strategy-testing/overview .
When I tried to run it for the first time, the login dialogue pops up. It appears the same as for Fidelity Active Trader (which does work for me).
When I enter my username and password correctly, and click log in, a confusing box pops up: it reads
"Log in Failure: The 'br' starting tag on line 28 position 64 does not match the end tag of 'p'. Line 28, Position 116"
After I click 'ok', a new box pops up that says: "Log in required, terminating." After which, the program terminates.
I have included pictures of both errors.
For troubleshooting: I have tried restarting the computer, downloading both the 64 bit and normal version, running normally or as administrator, uninstalling and reinstalling, and even trying a past version (6.9.21 I believe).
To me, this error really seems like a deep syntax error, which basically amounts to the program not working. I would really appreciate any help as I am excited to get started with this software. Thanks.

For some reason the first picture will not attach, but again it said "Log in Failure: The 'br' starting tag on line 28 position 64 does not match the end tag of 'p'. Line 28, Position 116".

Thank you Eugene. Where is the Wealth Lab Developer download located? I can only seem to find the Wealth Lab 6.9 download on this site.
Thanks again.

If you're a Fidelity customer you might have received a notice in Fidelity's
Communications Center on the website. They sent a broadcast message that has the transition registration link embedded. If you can't find it there, please ask your Fidelity rep.
This is the key. Free trials are not permitted in this case.

Hi,
I never got to use Wealth Lab Pro (just started trying yesterday). This would seem to me that I need to download a free trial (of Wealth Lab Developer, since WLP is now deprecated), to test it out.
When I requested the trial all I got was Can't activate trial: unexpected error. Please contact info@wealth-lab.com.
Again, I was never contacted with a transition link because I never had the opportunity to use Wealth Lab Pro beforehand.
Since this account is not attached to my fidelity account, why can't I register for a free trial? This seems rather counter intuitive.
Thanks

I'm sorry but free trials are not permitted at the moment. Agreed that it's counter intuitive. You should probably be able to test drive it in September after the migration campaign is over.
