Is it possible to debug with stepping into the code like in VS?

Hi,

Is it possible to debug the code line by line stepping the same way in Visual Studio debugging?

Sure, but not in the built-in editor. You would have to install a standalone IDE for that.

as per this "How can I debug my trading strategies in Wealth-Lab Pro 5?" i'm trying to setup the environment,
but i coudlnt open the Wealth-Lab application it's giving this error
"WealthLabDev has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the invonvenience".

I'm doing something wrong... let me tell you what i did so you have help to set the environment

as per Step 7
i have added the description as "Strategy Test by VS" and GUID as "2E0EC1F6-1F50-4019-98DE-298D738D70F8"

as per step 9
the output path is "C:\Program Files\MS123\Wealth-Lab Developer 5\"

now i have build the VisualStudio project without any error and it created the WL.dll in
the above mentioned output path. after that as per stope 12 running the Wealth Lab 5 and
getting this error "WealthLabDev has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the invonvenience".

if i change the output path to any other location, then the Wealth Lab app is running but i dont
see the strategy which i want to debug in the Wealth-Lab application.

Can you help me what am i doing wrong here?

What error message text do you get when expanding the error dialog?

Are you sure? (Your Wealth-Lab Developer trial expired more than a week ago. Please consider trying out WLP5 because WLD5 isn't available to U.S. residents anyway.)

Yeah my trail preiod expired a week back (sad part is i have started exploring the software last week only) currently playing with my colleague's system.

This is the error message getting it "WealthLabDev has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the invonvenience".

BTW how to get the WLP5?

When crash happens, there's an arrow in the error message dialog you can click to expand and get the debug information.

I would suggest you to download the source code for Strategies.ActiveTrader from our Wiki and compile it. If you place it to the above mentioned output path and try to debug, do you still get the error?

I have downloaded the source code and followed exactly the same way on that code, now the debugging is working.....
