My data provider allows me to export my data in Metastock format and this is what I use for WL. Today on starting WL I received a message box giving me the cost of the Metalib library and now my data is inaccessible, I receive an error message saying a particular COM object is not available. Two other applications which use this data have no problems. Does WL ship with a 3rd party shareware component which has now expired?

The answer is a definite no.
This happened once in the past, but for Version 4:
Metalib License Fee...... Please help!!To sum it up, something (e.g. cleaning the system registry) have possibly broken the component's registration. Try re-registering that COM component, namely
MetaLib.dll, like instructed in the article.

Have re-registered Metalib.dll which goes through with no error but still have the same problem. I noticed a MetaStockStaticProvider.dll and this does give an error when I try to register it. I suppose that an uninstall/reinstall might be the best solution at this point

This is the Metastock provider's own .NET assembly. Registering a .NET DLL with
regsvr32 won't work, and shouldn't be performed.

You're right - try the "Repair" option in Control Panel - Programs.
