As a user migrating from the 10-years ago WealthLab version to the current version, I have a few questions.
In the old version, I could easily run a given strategy across all stocks in a Watchlist and sort/rank based on numerous criteria (total profit, profit by bar, etc.). The closest routine in the current version that comes close is the portfolio simulation. However, since numerous trades are abandoned based on position sizing assumptions, the "By Symbols" tab does not offer a head-to-head comparison of stocks. As an example, I would like to see a "By Symbols" tab type display for a WatchList whereby each stock is compared on all trades taken for each stock assuming 100% position sizing for each analyzed stock.
Likewise, the old version allowed for a scan of results of all stocks in a WatchList for a given strategy, again displayed in a rank/sort tab format like "By Symbol." I'm certain that functionality remains, though I am unable to locate it.
Thanks,
Brian

Yes, that addresses my first question. Thanks! I'm still remain uncertain as to how find the best stocks to trade for a given strategy though a similar type ranking system.

You can achieve this by executing the Strategy in a Raw Profit mode because no trades are skipped.

This can be done using
Historical Trades: No Coding with By Symbol Optimization available as a strategy download. Set the 100% equity size in the Data Panel and all trades fitting into the equity and margin for each symbol will be included. Many other sizing methods are available. This is excellent for comparing results of single positions systems run in a Multi-Symbol Backtest across a dataset. See:
