SMA missing data at the beginning

Here is a deceptively simple piece of code that does not appear to work:

This code should fill in the missing data points at the beginning of the SMA series with a smooth ramp of average values, but it does not. Please go to the beginning of the plot and look at the SMA curve overlay on the data Bars. The first 12 points are missing.

Any ideas?

Assign csma.FirstValidValue to 0 and you'll be able to see the values (that I assume are actually there).
