I am trying to make the transition to V5 after being a happy user of V4. Exploring the V5 capabilities, I cannot find capabilities equivalent to the V4 simulator mode. There seems to be no way to invest a fixed percentage of equity in new trades, subject to a percentage of total volume restriction. Statistics do not seem to provide for annualized gain, max drawdown%, ulcer index, wealth-lab score, profit factor, etc. Am I overlooking capabilities, do they have to coded by the user, or have we lost a lot of the features of earlier versions? If there are as many missing features as it appears in an admitedly preliminary analysis, will V5 be brought up to previous standards and if so, when?

Although you're just overlooking capabilities, still I have to say that the new "Simulator" is not yet carved in stone. Simuscripts aka "PosSizers" are coming soon in version 5.6. They will be interactive tools with their own GUI full of options, saved settings etc.

Use Percent of Equity + enable "Reduce quantity based on volume" in Preferences > Backtest settings.

These numbers were available from the start (5.0). They have zero sense in Raw Profit mode, so you just need to switch to Portfolio Simulation mode in the Position Size dialog. (As you might know, certain parameters require having portfolio equity which is not available in RP simulations.)

P.S. Once you get familiar with the new "Simulator", take a look at Community Visualizers for a dozen "simulator" extensions that were impossible in versions before 5.0: Community Performance Visualizers Pack. There you'll also find Ulcer Index.
