I don't see TC2000 available as a data provider in the DataManager. Am I missing something? How do I access my TC2000 watchlists?

You're not missing anything: 5.0 does not include a TC2000 data provider. Because re-writing the application is a complex task and takes time, the functionality is released in phases and will be back in a later release.

I hope restoring the TC2000 feature is fairly high on the "to-do" list. I'll play around a bit with the new version but will stick with 4.5 until TC2000 data access is added.

Eugene, as far as I am concerned, I am willing to buy=upgrade to Wealth-Lab 5 only when I am able to use TC2000 as a data provider. Especially the more than 200 groups they are providing are essential for my trading. So I kindly ask you and the Wealth-Lab team to set this point as high as possible on your "to-do" list.

In the meantime, have you checked the new multi-threaded Yahoo! provider? No less than 15000 entries in its classification groups. Anyway, I believe that TC2005 was on the ToDo list - but we have to ask Robert.

Along with the static adapters already delivered (Yahoo!, MSN, ASCII, MetaStock, and WL4 Files) we plan to support Telechart, Bloomberg, IQFeed, ESignal, and QuoteTracker. These are all high-priority projects along with other work that we're already signed up for.

Thanks a lot for the fast response! This is one of the reasons why I like WL so much: Fast and competent answers.
It's quite good to know, what is planned.

Eugene, with Yahoo! you have no index subgroup calculations, for instance. In TeleChart the groups have an index for every subgroup calculated since 1990 (and these indices are calculated on a basis of a mixture of cap- and volume).

I can only add that telechart data adapter is also for me very important component of WL.

I've just read on tc2000 forum the statement by Peter Worden that they are committed to support further the tc2000 and it will not be discontinued or replaced by blocks. This is also not a bad messsage for at least medium-term future.

Good news for TeleChart customers - the TeleChart Static Provider is ready to go. Get it from Extensions now!

Robert, my eternal thanks for making TC2K a datasource. Their intraday updates to EOD data has been paramont to my success. Many of my trades are based on entry/exit at close based on same day data. TC2K provides this while Fidelity does not (w/ Fidelity, I have to wait until after market close to see entry/exit signals for that same day).

I have been a WLD 4.x(pascal-style version) user for many years (and long b/4 Fidelity came into the picture). And have been hesitant to try & learn the WLD.5.x, b/c it's like programming in Chinese vs. the programming in English that I am used to. Sorry to appear a mere hobbit to you wizards... but I do manage $60mm at Fidelity & WLD 4.x has been a life saver. Personal accounts are up +9% since market peaked in Oct,2007 while SP-500 is down -44% over same time frame.

All the glory goes to you, Volker, Dion (& associates). I am but a mere beneficiary of your hard work.

Net, Net,... now that TC2K is an official data source --- As of today, I am beginning my transition to learn the Csharp coding language that you wizards are using.... so hopefully not to miss an opportunity once you pull the plug on WLD 4.x(which I understand will be no later than Dec,2009).

My eternal gratitude,

Ted
