I and my trading friends in Boston area are reaally getting tired of WLP's constantly running out of memory, freezing up the entire computer so that we have to re-boot the whole computer, and in the mean time losing money because we were not watching the market during the boot-out and boot-in.

Could you please tell me when the new 64bit version of WLP will be available to us? Thanks.

No, but WLP6 x86 installed side by side can be used for that.

I remember in the past when there was an upgrade, Fidelity removed the previous versions of the program from their Website. If they continue this practice and WLP6 is 64 bit only, all the users with 32 bit Operating Systems that download WLP6 will be left out in the cold.

Of course not. 64-bit users can install the 64-bit version OR the 32-bit version. 32-bit users will upgrade to the 32-bit version only.

What's the download link for the 64 bit version? My WLP 5.6 got upgraded automatically this morning, but it is 32 bit 6.0.

Right, because there is only a 32-bit upgrade. Let me search fidelity.com for you... unless they've got the What's New content out, it would be there too... checking...

It doesn't look like they're pushing out the content from the web servers yet. It should be coming later today.

Competitors of WLP 6.0, just bury your head in the sand right now. I use a 32-bit PC & WLP 6.0 screams in speed (vs. 5.6) & no more lock ups (when monitoring large DataSets in Quote Mgr) , they completely vanished. Today I loaded 2700 symbols/limit orders into Quotes window. AND THEY ALL POPULATED INSTANTLY, UNBELIEVABLE!!!! That was on DSL hardline.

What I share next may make you pee your pants, so get ready.

I have a Dell Laptop(5-6 yrs old) Only 2 Ghz Pentium chip. Only 1.5G of RAM. AND USING A WIRELESS CARD FROM BELLSOUTH, no Cable, no DSL.... just the airwaves. So I loaded the same 2700 symbols/limit orders into the Laptop's WLP 6.0 Quote Mgr..... And once again, all 2700 quotes populated instantly & updates quotes --- what appears to be every 1 second.... and has been doing so for two hours now with no sign of hesitation or lock up. NOW THAT'S SCARY!!!!

You have made it possible for a average Joe to monitor 000's of Limit orders from an old laptop, on the beaches of Hawaii, or the perhaps Central Park. This my friends, is a gamechanger!!!!!

Not to mention Eugene's new Community Components update where we can identify scheduled Earning Release Dates before they happen. Woo Hoo. Now my Dipper can exclude scheduled dates when scanning & I don't have worry about as many poison Alerts during Earnings season. I say "poison", b/c my experience is the dippers tend to bounce poorly when an Earnings Release is the catalyst for the dip.

Is WLP6 the same as WL Developer 5.6? (Despite regular Pro/Developer differences, that is)

No, WLP6 is Wealth-Lab Pro 6 (Wealth-Lab Developer 6 coming next week).

@dan - Developer 6.0 won't be out until next week as we work on some site configuration changes. It will be ready Monday or Tuesday next week. Sorry for these few days of delay.

I see the new content on WLP's Home page now, so it should be available for download at fidelity.com now.

6.5 hrs of trading session have now passed (see my note from 11:17am today);

And my old laptop(w/ cell phone card) tracked all 2700 symbols/Limit Orders in lock-step with my Newest PC w/ DSL service. Appeared to update every second. Not even a hint of a lock up on old , nor new PC.

Can't begin to fathom how it is WLP 6.0's new streaming service can allow me instant (& constantly updated) quotes to 2700 stocks on an old Laptop w/ Cell phone card... BUT IT DOES.

Guess you can't run 64 and 32 bit at the same time? Bummer!

At least with Developer 5.x, you can run x86 and x64 in parallel under different user names.
