I do have a question regarding the relation of time-based exit and number of bars held. For one of my strategies (done with rule wizard) I use e.g. the following exit criteria:
• Current open postition is older than 8 bars OR
• Price makes a new high within periode 5

Now, in case the position management allows only a single open position, the number of bars of the trades is max. 10 bars (which makes fully sense, as the time-based exit is supposed to close the trade after 8 bars - not counting entry and exit bar).

There is no change to the rules of the strategie other than position management allows multiple open positions and limits the number to 2 open positions (via position size > position options > "max open in symbol" 2). Now the max. of bars held is 33 bars.

Has anyone seen that behavior? Is there any further tweak I'll need to make?

Many thanks for your help!

Wealth-Lab's built-in "Current open postition..." series of Rules apply to the the most recent open Position only. Realizing that it's a limitation, MS123 included a group of "Active Position is..." rules in our Community.Rules library. These rules apply to each active position rather than the most recent one. After logging in to the Wiki and following installation guidelines you should find them under the same Position-Based group.
