New user of this extension. Created username & password on its website, as required.
It downloaded fine the first day but since then it keeps saying Username or password is incorrect but that's incorrect as I can log in to www.wealth-data.com with those. How to fix this?

By your description I'm pretty sure that your W-D account got banned as suspicious. This can happen, for example, if user is a pirate, or used a disposable email or in case of an anonymous username which can't be matched to a valid website account of a recognized WL customer. What's your account?

Username: luv2trade

There's nothing suspicious, everything's valid & aboveboard. Besides, I can still login via its website.
It's my understanding you're NOT supposed to use your W-Lab login info so I created a different one.

That's right, the account got locked for a totally anonymous email (and the username couldn't be recognized).

No, there has never been such restriction. To avoid potential issues I'd suggest signing up with your wealth-lab.com username and an email that doesn't look like a disposable one. Sorry for the inconvenience.

There's nothing anonymous or disposable about my address! It's created in a way so hackers & trollers don't get to guess it easily. Seems to me your rules need to be broadened.

This is part of the message that pops up when I ask W-D to Check Credentials in W-L Pro:
Username or password is incorrect. Do not enter your wealth-lab.com credentials, they won't work. (I added the emphasis).
[I would have uploaded a screenshot if there was a way do it directly from my PC.]

Sooo...where do we go from here? Are you asking me to create a new W-D account using my W-L credentials?

Makes sense but that doesn't anyhow change the fact that it looks anonymous. You can trust my experience on this, through years I've fought many thousands of disposable email domains and even contributed to one of the biggest community-driven lists of them. So with regard to your request on the rules, thanks but no thanks.

I specifically added this warning to the W-D provider code following a surge of failed attempts to use Wealth-Data without signing up at the W-D website first. In your pretty rare case, it sounds confusing.

It's your choice. I'd recommend using a different password for security purposes, though.

I can unban your account "luv2trade" if you prefer but as the next step you would want to change that email to something that doesn't look like a junk collector. Otherwise there is NO guarantee that it won't get suspended again (sooner rather than later). Periodically a review is made for fishy accounts. But there are so many users and neither the username matches a WL account nor the email helps recgonize the person.

I went ahead and created a new wealth-data.com account using my wealth-lab.com username & email address but a different password. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing going forward.

Reflecting on the issue... This whole situation could have been avoided if wealth-data.com specifically asked new users to use same username or email address as they use on wealth-lab.com

Hi Cone,

I just signed up to WealthData and was successfully signed in, but for some reason when I Create a new DataSet and "Check Credentials" I get a message that "Username or Password is Incorrect. Do not enter your wealthlab.com credetials, they won't work.

The data that I try to load also show the same message ".... canceling update".

I tried two different email addresses, but none worked. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Hi Doron,

You're having exactly the same issue as Sammy_G was having. The account "Snipe" has long been temporarily suspended as unknown (we couldn't identify the user).

The new account "SnipeHunter" is OK in this sense. However, you are trying to enter the old email as password (wrong) or the old account (blocked). Neither will work.

To resolve the issue, please use the "SnipeHunter" and its password in the Wealth-Data provider.
