Gents,

Please point us to the updated markets.xml file. After upgrading to Pro 6.9 (w/o uninstalling 6.8), the markets.xml file date is 10/7/2014 and the most recent special hours is 12/24/2015. The holidays go to 12/25/2020. There was no mention of markets.xml in the forum for a few years.

The upgrade process will (should) uninstall the previous version anyway. Nonetheless, the WLP 6.9 installation has MarketSpecialHours to 2015-12-24. I suggest:

1. uninstall

2. verify that C:\Program Files\Fidelity Investments\Wealth-Lab Pro 6\Data\Markets.xml was removed. It's possible that the entire C:\Program Files\Fidelity Investments\Wealth-Lab Pro 6\Data folder will be removed if you didn't save Workspaces or add Community.Rules, for example.

3. reinstall 6.9

Edit:
WLPro installs an older version of the ASCII provider. If you upgraded the ASCII Provider using Extensions, make sure to do it again after re-installing WLPro.

Re: ASCII. An older version of TASCIndicators will be installed by WLP. There's two known workarounds: Open Issues.

Reinstalling involves risk. A better solution would be to provide a downloadable file (from the Wiki, perhaps).

Btw, I'm surprised it hasn't occurred to you by now to fix the 70 or so items on the Open Items list? I get pretty tired of continual referrals to the Open issues Wiki, as if that's the first place one should be looking, that that is the permanent solution.

That's a question regarding Fidelity's business process. We're not in charge of that.

Sadly, the markets.xml file in a clean install of WLP 6.9 only has special hours through 12-24-2015 (as Cone mentioned in #2). The attachment to this post shows the markets.xml file Properties. Please note that the clean install was done on Windows 10 with all updates after downloading from the Fidelity web site. Before installation there was no C:\Program Files\Fidelity Investments folder and no C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Fidelity Investments folder.

Would you please add an attachment, in a reply, the updated for Markets.XML file containing special hours for all of 2016, at least, and 2017 (unless another update of WLP is expected before the end of 2016). Then we can all simply drop it into C:\Program Files\Fidelity Investments\Wealth-Lab Pro 6\Data and move forward.

No rush. According to NYSE Holidays and Trading Hours, the next early close is scheduled on November 24, 2016. That's 8 months from today, and a new build may be expected before that date.

Sigh. Just uninstalled and re-installed the latest WLP 6.9 download from Fidelity and the markets.xml file has no special hours for 2016. So there's a problem showing intra-day data on 11/25/2016, which is a short session closing at 1:00PM.

What's the secret hand-shake to get an updated markets.xml file with special hours for 2016 and 2017?

The attached markets.xml works when dropped into the C:\Program Files\Fidelity Investments\Wealth-Lab Pro 6\Data folder after renaming the original to markets_2015.xml. Please use this at your own risk. I hand edited the file using Microsoft Office Word to add the NYSE special hours for 2016 and 2017. You're welcome.

Thanks, Eugene. I posted before seeing Cone's update. The only difference is date of OpenTimeNative and CloseTimeNative. Mine was not changed. Cone's is updated to 2016-11-30 (originally 2014-02-03). Go ahead and unpost mine if you like.

The current Markets.xml file has 7/2/2018 as SpecialHours. It should be 7/3/2018.

Thanks. I actually saw that last week when I was extending the special hours to 2020. I've attached an update to Markets.xml here. Unzip and replace the file in your install folder.
