6.9.18 is ready! This version fixes login and cookie bugs that caused intraday chart refreshes to be delayed by 15 minutes.
Things on the fidelity back end have changed a bit, so upgrading from 6.9.17
will not work. You must:
1. Uninstall WLP 6.9.17 from the Windows Control Panel, and,
2. Download and install Wealth-Lab Pro 6.9.18 from
https://www.fidelity.com/wlp

To which of these bugs does the fix apply?
* Lockup during logon to Fidelity (applies to Fidelity Wealth-Lab Pro only) Mostly fixed in WLP 6.9.17
* Once logged out from Fidelity, you cannot log back in (applies to Fidelity Wealth-Lab Pro only) New in WLP 6.9.17
* An hour after login to WLP, static data are returned delayed 15 minutes (i.e., a 5 minute chart will be missing the most recent 2 or 3 bars.). Applies to WLP 6.9.17 only

And the stuck submitted issue is going to be addressed in the next update, correct? Thanks.

I hope so, but this isn't in our hands, so I cannot say for sure.

Any reason why upgrading from 6.9.17 won't work?
Is file location changed?
Is registry changed?

Right, file locations have changed. (It could have been fixed with a quick http rewrite, but it's wasn't.)

Which file locations changed?
Because I have a script monitoring and clearing some files and folders.
Especially xml files in Data folder, also FidelityStaticProvider, Strategies and Workspaces subfolders.
Are those folder locations changed?

File location of WealthLabPro installer on the server, I guess. The 6.9.17 client can't recognize the new download path. Hence the manual download and install cycle.

If it was just the installer location on the server, uninstallation was not required, right?

It's just my speculation but since the major version (6.9) hasn't changed, it is required for InstallShield to perform a minor version upgrade successfully.

Perhaps uninstall is an extra step. It's a safe step. It will not hurt anything. If you don't want to uninstall first, it's probably not required. You file locations on the local machine will not change
I only wanted to get the word out that the software upgrade feature in 6.9.17 will not work, and that you must download the new version from
https://www.fidelity.com/wlp

Update install from 6.9.17 to 6.9.18 didn't work on my two machines.
I had to uninstall 6.9.17 once before installing 6.9.18.
This is my first time ever I had to uninstall before installing the update.
Known issue?

As supposed in post #11, it makes sense in a fresh install to perform a minor point upgrade. So if it was an upgrade from 6.8 to 6.9 it wouldn't be required, for example.

Known issue? Not until now, thanks.
The version number doesn't really matter. It's all about how InstallShield is configured. I can see that the Product Code was changed, which is usually enough to force a "major version" upgrade, but in this case it something else was not configured properly. :/
