Not sure why, but I have a premium account with Y!, and given user name and password are in the required fields in the data manager. Is there anything I may be overlooking. TIA

A Premium account with Yahoo! may be good for you, but not necessarily so for the folks at YCharts. :) This is a completely different company requiring a Pro subscription to download their data. And a different Extension with a different Data Manager tab called "YCharts" where your YCharts Pro (not Basic!) account details go.

Sorry- I should have expressed myself more accurately. I believe I do have a Y Charts "Pro Gold" membership that does show my status as active. I double checked my username and password and respective case tense that I placed in the data manager fields. The extension that I downloaded was called "YCharts Fundamental Data for Securities and Economic Data 2012.03.1". Would you prefer I send a support ticket?

You downloaded the right extension (otherwise you wouldn't be able to make Wealth-Lab produce that error), but I keep on thinking that you have entered the account credentials in the Yahoo! tab rather than the YCharts tab.

And.. So you are correct. I found the required fields for Y Charts, that I failed to recognize or became confused with Yahoo off the bat. Thanks for that easy fix.

I have been attempting to get the Y Charts fundamental data, but for some reason, I am only receiving this data on very few stocks and mostly symbols with A. From what I can tell all other stocks are not showing the fundamental data from the Y charts provider. I have made 4 attempts. Each time for many hours before completion. Is there something I may be overlooking or should do?

Last time I checked it earlier this month, the provider was working just fine with any symbol. YCharts have made no changes to the service I'm aware of.
Which exact fundamental data item(s) you're not seeing, on which particular symbol, on which data range, and how you're displaying it (chart annotations, fundamental items)?

Specifically Altman Z score, but I checked many other fundamental items from the provider for that symbol that was showing no results and it seems all items are not available. It seem I have a sample of A stocks, but not all of them and no other letters. So it isn't a case of not getting through, but just an incomplete list. I attempted to access the data on a symbol chart(daily), but plan to use it and have used it in code for back tests.
What I have done was check YCharts Economic data and YCharts Fundamental Data for securities without any other Historical Data Providers or Fundamental Data Providers checked. I have update only Symbols that are contained in Data Sets. I then selected update all data for selected Providers now.
I have 147 Data Sets and nearly 10000 symbols within those data sets, some stocks are repeated in the data sets. The data sets are mostly Fidelity, but there are many others including excel, Y, Bloomberg, MSFT,market Sentiment and index lab.
The update seems to take a very long time and at times seems paused. Last time I believe I was waiting throughout the evening and part of the next day to complete the update.

It's wrong that I let the discussion continue here because the original question has been solved. :( Next time please reuse the closest available forum thread.
Let's therefore start from the end. Do you have a YCharts Pro Gold subscription? The provider will work only if you do.
Repeated symbols won't hurt when you "Update All Data" provider by provider. (That's what you're probably doing, so it's OK). What will hurt is including Index-Lab and Market Sentiment symbols in YCharts data requests, let alone Excel. YCharts only knows about U.S. stock symbols without suffixes or prefixes and absolutely can't update special, synthetic, custom et al. symbols. There is no way to exclude them other than switching to the manual update by DataSet, but including unrecognized symbols will increase the update time with nothing in return.
As YCharts don't have a real API, what the fundamental provider is doing behind the scenes is requesting 90 individual fundamental items for each included symbol. Even though the process is multithreaded, making 90 * 10,000 = 900,000 page requests is a lot. It's only a speculation but data vendors might consider that to be a high load. (As economic data is not symbol-based, the YCharts economic provider is different in this aspect and it only runs once, making just 200 requests for the most popular economic data items.)
Finally, some fundamental items may not be made available for all symbols or it might have been a glitch at YCharts. I suggest doing a simple test. At YCharts website, enter a handful U.S. stock tickers that don't start from A, select "Altman Z Score" (a metric accessible to YCharts Pro customers only), and choose "Data Export" for each one. Then create a new Fidelity DataSet from those symbols and do "Update DataSet" (just not "Price only"). If you got valid CSV files with actual Altman Z-score numbers on your disk that open in Excel but the same symbols' charts won't show that fundamental item when dragged from the Fundamentals list, something went wrong.

I did the test as you asked other than just experimenting with one symbol, JCP and I did receive data on CSV form, but after "update data set" and the fundamental item dragged onto chart did not show the data. That said, the "update data log" seems to show 92 fundamental items updated; however, it is not showing up on a chart. Below is a copy of that update.

Seems I am getting something now on after re start, so this may become a none event, hopefully. I'll continue to experiment and update you if I continue to have issues. Thank you for helping me.

The number of downloaded items in YCharts data is not indicative. It will always show progress even if your password was entered incorrectly.

Since no other user has come up with a similar problem, I believe the feed is still working. It could be a network issue or a software glitch.

Perhaps so. Hopefully this will work without further problems. Thanks again for attention to this Eugene. :)
