I need such indicators as $TICKS and volume zone oscillator. I am not a programmer, need the wizards to do this. Thanks

1 - What is $TICKS precisely? Tick Indicator? Or maybe Tick Index?

2 - VZO - Volume Zone Oscillator is part of the TASCIndicators library and is included with the WLP installation (trial or full).

Ah, so that's "NYSE Tick" - which is a market sentiment index rather than an indicator.

Sorry, something else is not clear. Can I use that TASC indicator as a rule in my strategy? User guide isn't clear, thanks.

Yes you can. I'm sure that the User Guide is clear on it, as the subject of using indicator libraries is covered:

Strategy Window > Strategy Builder > General Rules

Moreover, there's a tutorial video on this topic in the Knowledge Base (Wiki).

Okay, I'll hit it again. I got confused by the following comment in the user guide:

'Dropped indicators are for viewing only and never affect the results of an actual Trading Strategy. Dropped indicator parameters are never available for modification from the Strategy Parameters frame.'

But I guess that's just for dropped indicators in the chart. Apparently drag and drop plotting is different, thx,

Dropping indicators on a chart is indeed for chart cosmetic purposes only until you "push" the indicator into an Editor's code window and then modify the strategy to actually use the indicator.

Alternatively, you can use the Strategy Builder to create "drag and drop strategies" that use indicators directly. See the difference?

Cone - yes, I understand the difference conceptually...just gotta figure out the nuts and bolts. I can't even find the General Rules within Strategy Builder that Eugene was referencing above. Got some work to do. Thanks guys for all the help,
