On some Windows 7 PC's there is, besides the

path, another path present,, namely

for XP compatibility. WL6 uses one of these locations to store it's user data.

The contents of these two paths should mirror image, I believe. However, at least on one of our PC's they do not.

So we have two different default workstation files, and experience that sometimes in our batch process one is taken, sometimes the other.

Question to Eugene or Cone:

How do you access these paths in the WL6 application?

Do you hardcode the path (and if yes, which one of the above do you use) ?

If no, are you using environment constructs like on C#

The one and only path with the data you need to back up is this:

c:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Fidelity Investments\WealthLabDev\1.0.0.0\Data\..

"Application Data" is not a real folder but junction point. If it does not mirror the AppData folder, you are doing something wrong (like accessing the folder created on the same machine by a different Windows user).
