I have several WL5 licences.

After a Windows VISTA update (which is provided automatically through Microsoft) and an update of Mozilla Firefox some days ago (and at the same moment), I can not start WL5 any longer. I don't know if these updates are the reason, but:

A double click on the icon produces now the message "WealthLabDev is not working any longer". The program even do not start. I did several restarts of my computer, but it doesn't help. I have this problem on two (!) computers! Both are running on Windows VISTA (I don't know if this is relevant).

Please help.

Hi Faik,

See the General troubleshooting procedure in the WL5 Wiki.

Particularly I'd like you to complete step #2 and tell us "What data does this error report contain?"

P.S. Do not reinstall WLD5, it will not help.

Thanks a lot for the fast response, even on Sunday. WL5 is already running, Eugene!

P.S.: The problem was that I changed the regional settings (because I wanted to export data in a special US format for ... WL!) directly before the updates mentioned above and did not remember about this. So your hint to look in "General troubleshooting..." was really great.

Glad you're up and running.

What kind of data did you want to export? (Maybe we could suggest some way to do that without changing the regional settings.)

Thanks a lot for the offe, Eugene. I exported intraday data in ASCII format from an other realtime quote system, running on the same pc as WL5 and WL4. Did this with the objective to read the data with WL5 as well as WL4 (!). WL4 is not allowing the typical European date format dd.mm.yyyy, so I had to change the regional settings.

Ah, I see the picture. Another possible way would be to write a script that would parse the exported file and convert dates to a different format on-the-fly. However, now that you know what to do next time you face this issue, anything goes.
