Tried the DVCFE indicator and it seems to have potential.
One question. No matter what two numbers I choose for period1 and period2, I get the same plot.
This does not seem right.

Yes, both periods are fixed in the code to 10 and 250 as per author's description. This will be fixed eventually.

This is wrong. Have a look at the Change Log please:

You'll see that this has been fixed almost a year ago.

I expect I'm doing something wrong, so, bear with me.
According to Extension Manager there were no updates available for the indicator library, so I assumed I had the most recent version of the Community Indicators. However, when I did download and install the file manually, I did in fact see your corrected code.
Shouldn't the Extension Manager have informed me of available changes?
