I updated the stocks of the S and P 500 yesterday. Unfortunately the update stopped at E. Now the Data Manager is frozen. Tried canceling update without it doing so. What can I do to make the Data Manager unstuck?

OK. I Just restarted Wealth Lab and the problem is fixed. Thanks.

Most likely it was a network issue.

Same issue. I received data only to c and then it got stuck. Wealth Lab became unresponsive.

Shut down WLP, restart, then uncheck any fundamental providers you may have enabled and repeat the update of price-only data. Is the issue reproducible now? Please copy/paste the log.

When I update with price only data I always get a full update. I am trying to update the Dividend yield specifically. The data set is the S and P 500. The update process stalls when I update Data Set, usually at news items and at the letter C. I'm in the process of updating now. and will let you know my results and provide the log. It is currently running the update, but it is running very slowly.

Mike, that's a good clarification showing the importance of always being precise and detailed when communicating with tech support.
Firstly you said:
"Unfortunately the update stopped at E. Now the Data Manager is frozen." This created the wrong impression of a stuck
price data update at letter E.
Now the picture is different and more clear:
"The update process stalls when I update Data Set, usually at news items and at the letter C."Should I mention that these are different scenarios with entirely different problem sources?

As Fidelity does not offer news items it's OK for it to run slow as the "news items" are delivered by MS123 fundamental providers which connect Wealth-Lab to the free sources by 3rd party data feeds. Such as Reuters or Google news they may be throttling your unexpectedly heavy data requests (for example). Since your objective is the dividend yield my recommendation is unchanged: before doing a full update next time, please uncheck any fundamental providers like news unrelated to your task to avoid the slowness. Leave just the Fidelity fundamental providers, enabling the others one by one and repeating update only if you're interested in reporting the culprit to me.
What you're experiencing may be related to the issue reported by another customer:
Reuters News halts after some symbols update. So if Reuters news is enabled I'd uncheck it in the first place.

Thanks Eugene. I'll do as you suggested and let you know my results.
Currently the update that was in progress managed to include news items up to the symbol LYB. This update has been running since the day before yesterday. I chose cancel update just now. The log window shows cancelling update; however it won't do so. It is currently frozen and won't allow me to select any other tabs in the data manager.
I will restart Wealth Lab to fix this. Do you know why the cancel update won't do so?

Mike, I'll fix the freeze with Reuters news in the upcoming update v2018.03 of the MS123 Fundamental/News providers extension. Until then I recommend to uncheck this news provider in the Data Manager if it's enabled, and to limit yourself to the Fidelity fundamental providers.

Thanks again. I've done as you said.

Both this and the freeze are caused by a
deadlock in the provider (to be fixed soon).
