On a recent radio talk show, there was discussion of an economic leading indicator that consisted of the amount of goods that were being moved by truck or train. Does anyone know the correct name of this economic indicator, and where its historical data can be obtained?

Sounds similar?

P.S. If it's an indicator, I wonder what does it have to do with this forum's mission: Discuss your strategies or those that are pre-loaded with Wealth-Lab? Is it a custom strategy? Or is it a preloaded one? In the future please consider the forum descriptions when posting, thank you.

The link does appear to be the rail component of the indicator (still need the truck component, however).

The reason I posted this question in the Strategy forum is (1) I hope to build a strategy that incorporates this indicator, and was searching for its data; and (2) although the economic indicator in question may in fact be an "indicator" (I guess), I felt it was not the "technical"-type of indicator that is the subject of the Indicator forum. Sorry.

OK point taken.

How about massaging the Transportation economic items provided by YCharts, could that help?
