I've attempted to setup the email alerts using Gmail and Yahoo and both are having trouble sending out. With Gmail, I am using smtp.gmail.com with 587 and SSL. Yahoo is smtp.mail.yahoo.com with 465 and SSL. Both get a 'cannot connect to remote server'. Help?

Corporate policies disallow SSL and/or port 587 (etc.) access for applications? Like it's allowed for "standard" ones like Outlook but WealthLabPro.exe is not "greenlisted".

Hi,
This is an
Open Issue in 6.4:
QUOTE:
(90180) Email Unhandled Exceptions Crash WL 6.4.
Errors when sending email and/or incorrect settings are not properly handled like in 6.3 and below, and within 30-60 seconds WL 6.4 crashes.
In your case, a debugger installed in the system traps the error - otherwise WL would simply crash.
I think the problem is your SMTP port which should be 465 Gmail/SSL, or 587 for TLS.
