The only reason this could've happened of you've logged in and downloaded the .WLE file from a non "canonical" location so to speak. Like having discovered an incorrect / outdated link via a search engine, for example.

Try to visit this exact link in a different browser where you aren't logged in (or in Private mode):

https://www.wealth-lab.com/Extensions/Details/14

The key is to log in anew. Then drop the new .WLE file onto the Extension Manager. Let me know how it goes.

Hi Eugene,

i have used the exact link but i can't download the file without to be logged in.

I have also tried different Browser - downloaded the file and implement it over WL Extension Manager - always the same message.

Then i have tried over the WL Extension Manager to click on "More Extensions on Wealth-Lab site". Then i did get this message - see attachment.

Damir,

Of course you cannot download an extension from this website without being logged in. The idea is to log in anew. But since you say there's no change if you retry from a different browser, then I think the culprit is found on your screenshot #3.

EWIT.PerformanceVisualizer is not a Wealth-Lab software and so is not supported on our website. This looks like 3rd party software with automatic error reporting enabled (a feature of certain obfuscation packages used by developers). Certainly the "More Extensions" link must not behave the way you've described, and I suspect that this DLL may interfere with the Extension Manager's normal operation. Please uninstall it and every other non-MS123 extension and restart WLD before anything else.

If still no go after that, something external on your PC breaks in the way of EM and intercepts the links. This does not look like a Wealth-Lab problem so I can only give you an idea: it could be an antivirus, firewall, proxy server, other security software etc.

Hugo3762 has just invalidated my theory re: Damir's particular problem:

QUOTE:
From Europe the Extension Manager did not find the latest updates for TASC and Community. This used to work flawless in the past. And I noticed a popup from wealth-lab website for cookies.

Like Hugo, Damir is affected by GDPR-related stuff. Looking into what's causing it. Our website indeed has been updated to comply with GDPR. Thanks Hugo!

I'm in Europe too, but Extensions downloads and installs are working fine for me. Anyway we'll figure out what the problem is for those who have it.

Damir, Hugo: Our webmaster says the Extension Manager should be fixed. Please restart WLD, retry and let us know.

restarting WL did activate extension manager and EM did pick up de updates! so a good result. Reloading the website did show a popup but I do not mind that.

Good news, thanks!

P.S. The new popup is an element of the EU cookie law compliance.

UPDATE:

Users of Wealth-Lab Developer version 6.9.15 (and lower) who installed it more than a year ago WILL experience a "URI Error" message with the error text "Error when identifying Extension download URIs..." on trying to install / update an Extension OR download Strategies.

ONLY if you're affected, we recommend you perform a reinstallation (which will NOT affect your Strategies, data and preferences) to solve the problem:

1. Uninstall WLD

2. Delete these folders with all the files (but back up your custom-built DLLs if you have them)
"c:\Program Files\MS123\Wealth-Lab Developer 6"
"c:\Program Files (x86)\MS123\Wealth-Lab Developer 6"

3. Download and install the updated WLD installer(s) from our website:
https://www.wealth-lab.com/Download/

4. Reinstall all required Extensions from our website
https://www.wealth-lab.com/Extensions/Extension-Finder/

Hi, I did the search for 'Yahoo not updating' but wasn't sure if the top answers re the backup provider was the solution. Should have read through it more carefully as that was a 2014 post. Read all the way down but point Noted.

I ran through instructions and it wanted me to update WL to newer version - which I've done. When I now try and update - as those options are now available I get the following error no matter which update I pick.

Hi,

Given that you've just upgraded WLD from 6.9.15 to 6.9.23, updating the Yahoo! provider isn't required since its latest version is already included in WLD. And even Yahoo! v2020.02.2 should work just fine as of today.

"An exception occurred during a WebClient request" looks like a general network error when downloading an Extension. Just verified that updating the same Extension works just fine for me.

1. Try restarting Windows and switching to a different network connection first.

2. If it won't work, please uninstall and reinstall WLD as per post #12 above.
