The Fidelity data for Friday, 8/19/11 is chock full of errors. Just check out symbols ADSK, HAL, SHLD, SPY and QQQ, to name but a very few (compare their prices against Yahoo, for example). In fact, virtually every symbol I have checked has wrong prices; all O/H/L/C/V fields appear to be wrong, with the Close price most glaringly so. Even the indices are not spared! What happened??

I guess I have to withhold my trades for Monday as the alerts are all messed up by the wrong prices.
Sure wish the Data Truncation Utility was ready and available [Removing inactive symbols from a dataset].

Among the different projects I've been working on there is the 'Data Tab' with DataSet truncation and dead symbol removal capabilities. I will escalate its priority but in the meantime you could try other providers (Yahoo, Google, QuoteMedia, BloombergFree).

Assuming Fidelity data auto-corrects last bar's data is my only hope for fixing the widespread errors for 8/19/11; they are across all datasets and all symbols - stocks, ETFs, indices.

Meanwhile, while awaiting Data Truncation Utility, can you please create a script that can delete data AFTER a specified date AND that works for an entire dataset (not just a symbol)? I would like to try it out today before 4pm EST and see if it works (assuming Fidelity has corrected its data; after 4pm, of course any data update will d/l today's data and may/may not fix the previous errors).

Sammy, the proposition to create a script is pretty much unpractical. Nobody likes duplicating their work, especially when they have invested their time and effort in development. Also, there are other customers while I complete their requests as well. As I said, priority has been escalated to release this Data Manager tab asap. Thank you for your understanding.

Sammy, I already provided you with a Data Truncation script here.
