I like to collect daily data for Fidelity Industry Groups. Where do I find the symbols for industry groups so I can create a dataset for them.
Thanks

Cone,
That allows me to collect data for each stock in the industry group. What I want is to collect daily data for each industry group such as Consumer Finance or Biotech etc. Is there a symbol for each industry group that would allow me to create a Dataset of indusrtry groups.
Thanks

You can probably find something of the sort in the form of ETFs. There are hundreds (thousands?) of them that are designed to follow a particular instrument (like GLD for gold or TLT for US bonds), indexes (like SPY for S&P 500 or DIA for the Dow 30), etc.
Unless someone else reading this has done the background work, it's time to start searching!
... here you go, from my first search:

There's also Fidelity Sector Select group of mutual funds (commission free/30 day hold no load)--

... which also can be found on Fidelity site through their screening tool

avishn,
That's the closest industry group data I found. But being a Fidelity data user why isn't there industry group data available for download since these same data are ploted on Fidelity site or is it that I don't know how to access the symbols for them.
Thanks

Cone,
If I want to screen stocks where the price of the Industry Group they belong to crosses above the 20ma, how do I go about doing that i.e using the GICS schema.

Where does the "price" of an Industry Group come from?
Note!
The next release of Wealth-Lab will integrate Index-Lab, which you can use to create your own indexes of a group of instruments.
