I'd like to be able to perform an initial sort of optimization results. I would have assumed the MS123Scorecard in the WealthLab Performance Visualizers MS123 demo uses the ListViewSortManager to allow sorting of the optimization results similar to PVTrades2, but I can't find where it does that. (Or is that built into the Scorecard base class, and there is nothing I can do to change it?)

Just to make sure I understand, are you saying the ability to sort optimization results is contained in Wealth-Lab, and, therefore, there's nothing I can do in a PV to perform an initial sort?

Your Scorecard returns results in some particular order driven by its logic. I think that you control your custom tabs but not the Results tab.
