Dear Wealthlab team. I hope you have had a great weekend.
A few months ago I started to test some strategies using Yahoo data for Brazilian stocks. Although the test runs correctly, some of the results were really weird due to big gaps in the chart that I could see when analysing the results. Because of those big gaps, I decided to download historical data from the software that I use to trade and test everything again, which led me to a more reliable result set.
Now, I am testing some strategies in Yahoo's Australian Securities Exchange data set. The broker to trade stocks that I use in Australia does not provide historical data for the ASX.
My question is: should I rely on Yahoo data to test my strategies? If not, do you have an ASX data provider to share with me?
Thank you.
Kevy.

Think of Yahoo! as a free quick and dirty provider to get started. There will be unannounced disruptions at least once or twice a year that we eventually have to respond to.
For the best EOD provider I know of for U.S., Australian, Futures and Forex, check out the link for Norgate Data in the middle of WLD's What's New page. Good and reliable data, auto updates, and other great features like real historical testing with dynamic watchlists!
