Deleting a Strategy should in fact take even more clicks than it has been.
I don't get it. What or whom is this protecting?

Doesn't File > Save As do the job? It's almost a rename; you only have to delete the original strategy after that.
The following is
not almost a renameIt seems everything I do in Wealth-Lab requires workarounds.
Renaming requires a strange combination of actions:
1. open a "save as" dialog
2. select a folder by name
3. type a new name blind, as one cannot see a list of files in the selected folder (unless one maintains a hard-copy file list, and updates it religiously)
4. click OK
5. open a "Open Strategy" dialog
6. Search for the location of the subject strategy (will not be default unless it was the last one opened)
7. Select the strategy,
8. Delete the strategy.
Yet another workaround, what should be a simple function, rename. Alternatively, the "Save AS" dialog should have features similar to "Open Strategy".
If WL had a half-way decent file dialog for Saving files, including folder traversing, and the option to delete files, then
Save As might indeed be almost like rename. But the save as dialog is as crude as you can get. It does not even
optionally allow traversing the selected folder.
What if the new filename already exists? OK, WL gives an error message. What if the second filename already exists?...
If you don't want to add a rename feature, how about moving the
Save AS option to the
Open Strategy dialog box. Perhaps via a right-click menu?
Once a strategy has been opened:
Would it be unreasonable to ask for the location of a strategy to be displayed in the main window, in front of the strategy name?
After windows management, this area (filemanagement) is most in need of improvement.
Thanks.
