Hi,

Is there a way to make a rule with the slow stochastic indicator?

Thanks,

Yes there is. What you see as Stochastic %D on the Conditions tab is the so called "slow" stochastic.

Hi Eugene,

I know it like this: the fast stochastic has 2 lines: the faster %K and the slower %D. This is what I see in the conditions tab.

What I mean with slow stochastic is %Kslow = %Dfast. What I would need then is the %Dslow.

Matt,

So you want to double smooth the Stochastic like shown here: Fast, Slow or Full, right?

There's no Slow Stochastic in the form of doubly smoothed %K, but you could try imitate it with DSS. Try taking DSS in conjunction with conditions from the "General Indicators" group. Let me know if this works for you. Otherwise we might consider adding either a Slow Stochastic rule to the Wizard or the "Slow Stochastic" indicator to Community Indicators library.

No, as topic starter hasn't replied.

Just to confirm if the SMA of StochD is really needed? If for some reason DSS does not fit, getting SlowD to work takes just a line (or two) of code as shown in this example:

As a workaround if you need SlowD in a rule-based strategy, you can open code in new window and insert/edit the output code accordingly.
