Hi,

I was able to get the Data Manager to download 1 minute data for a specific date range. I was using the Fidelity as the Data Provider but I am unable to find how I was able to do that again. Can someone please help me find where in the Data Manager I can set the Start Date and End Date for downloading historical data? I really don't need the full historical data for each symbol and would like to just be able to get just the dates that I'm interested in looking at.

Thanks,

Hi Frank,

You're confusing something. Neither the Fidelity provider nor the DM has any ability to specify a starting date for historical backfill. Whether it's needed or not, always the full historical data is downloaded. This is by design. Schedule the long update for night time.

Eugene,

Thank you for the response. I remember entering a start date and end date. When I entered the same date Wealth-Lab came back with a Dialog that said something like: The start date cannot be equal to the end date. When I changed it so that it would download 1 minute data for 11-17-2016 to 11-18-2016 it downloaded 1 minute data for just those two days. In fact, right now if I go into the Data Manager and select my data set and click symbol details, then right click on a symbol and choose reload symbol data file it downloads data for 11-17-2016 and 11-18-2016. How do I change this to be a different date range?

Thanks,

This is the data loading range control in the Data panel. For more information, check out the Wealth-Lab User Guide > Reference > Data Panel > Data Range Control.
