I just started to use Fidelity WealthLab Pro 6.9 and working on back testing a strategy I use which includes a Double exponential moving average. Looking through the forum I found the following code

CODE:
Please log in to see this code.

The question is how do take this code and include it into a standard indicator that I can add to a stock graph, backtest.

I saw some comments about purchasing WealthLab developer software, I'm also going through the videos to learn, but if you could point me in the right direction would appreciate it.
Thank you,

Welcome aboard Ralph. It's not necessary to make any purchase (nor it's allowed, see FAQ: What's the difference between Wealth-Lab Developer and Wealth-Lab Pro Version 6?). Wealth-Lab Pro can do everything Developer does, and more.

The code which you've taken from my post in this thread has many typos and will not work. If you copy/paste it directly from the source it could be added to a graph or backtest (by means of a code-based Strategy) - just not via drag and drop nor in Rule-based form.

However, the lack of DEMA in our indicator libraries makes me add it to Community Indicators library. Thanks for the heads-up. Please create a support ticket to verify your WLP entitlement and make possible for you to download the extension later. ETA = end of February; by then you should be able to use the indicator via drag & drop and in Rules.

Looking forward to making your learning curve less steep. Should you have more Wealth-Lab questions, fire them away (in respective or new forum threads).

Please let us know once DEMA is available in the extensions. I would love to take it for a spin :)
Also, are you looking at adding Haiken Ashi candle stick support anytime soon ?

@rctrade

DEMA has been added to Community Indicators v2019.02. Now you can employ it in Rule-based Strategies and charts as a drag and drop indicator. As a reminder, after you install the extension from this direct link, restart WLP, confirm UAC prompt to finish installation. For more info please check out this illustrated tutorial and/or the Wealth-Lab User Guide > Extension Manager.
